Simple snax
Basic Pancake Recipe
Ingredients:
2cups.flour 2cups..milk 2eggs(beaten)1/3.cupbutter.(melted)2tablespoons.sugar(optional)2teaspoons.baking.powder1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
In a large bowl combine flour, milk, beaten eggs, 1/3 cup melted butter, sugar, baking powder and salt until just blended. Preheat lightly greased griddle or frying pan. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into pan per pancake. Cook until pancakes begin to bubble. Flip once and cook for 1 to 2 minutes longer. Serve with maple syrup, jam or fruit.
Any extra ingredients can be added to the above mixture for your own personal preference & taste.
WAFFLES
Ingredients:
3large.eggs 12/3cups.milk2cups.fall.baking.powder1tablespoon..sugar1teaspoonsalt¼ cup melted butter or margarine
Directions:
Beat the eggs well in a large bowl using an electric mixer. Add the milk. Combine all the dry ingredients in a separate bowl and add to the milk/egg mixture. Mix until just blended and add the melted butter, mix again. Heat the waffle iron. It will be ready once you a drop of water evaporates on it. Spoon the batter into the waffle iron compartments. Cover and cook until ready (your waffle iron may have a setting to let you know it’s finished) or watch for when it stops steaming. Remove waffle and keep covered until you finish cooking remaining waffle
Again you can add any fruit or sauces to suit personal tastes.
French Toast Sticks
Ingredients:
3eggs 3/4cup.milk 1teaspoon.vanilla 1tablespoon.butter 4slices.bread(each.cut.length.wise.into.4pieces)SugarCinnamonMaple syrup
Directions:
Melt butter in skillet. Mix eggs, milk and vanilla in bowl. Dip slices of bread into mixture until completed soaked. Brown the soaked bread in skillet on each side. Sprinkle with a little sugar and cinnamon and serve with maple syrup.
Banana Muffin Recipe
Ingredients:
2cups.all-purpose.flour1/2cup.sugar2teaspoons.baking.powder1/2teaspoon.baking.soda1/2teaspoon.salt2ripebananas.(mashed)1/2cup.milk1/3cup.oil1 egg, slightly beaten
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease muffin pan. In a large bowl combine dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt). Stir in milk, oil and egg until moistened. Gently fold in mashed banana taking care not to over mix batter. Spoon batter into muffin cups. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Immediately remove from pan. Serve warm or cool.
Change banana to fruit of own choice.
Honey Crunch Bars
Ingredients:
1/2cup.firmly.packed.brownsugar1/3cupvegetable.oil1/4cupp.ure.honey11/4cup.of.muesli.or.rolled.oats2tablespoon.bran.cereal1/4cup.dried.fruit.of.choice(raisins,apricots,fruit,etc.)Makes 12 bars
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 9 inch by 13 inch pan, or two 8 inch by 8 inch pans. Put sugar, oil and honey into a large bowl and microwave on medium for 2 minutes. Stir in muesli, bran cereal and fruit. Mixture should be moist enough to form a ball, without extra liquid. Put mixture in prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cut into bars while still hot. Wait until bars cool before removing from pan.
